How can I update the markup of all updated tracks in the current playlist?

Post by relax »

I have the "Weather tomorrow" in my current playlist. At noon, the host recorded the new weather for tomorrow. In the ProppFrexx Tagger I updated the track "Weather tomorrow" markup (points in, next, out), the timing of the file has changed. Is it possible to quickly update the markup in all files in the current playlist without manually replacing this file?

Why would you change the cue-points ('markups as you call them) of all files in the current playlist?

When you have only changed the cue-points of that single "Weather tomorrow" entry/file; you can simple re-read in those cue-points; e.g. select the related file and press CTRL+ALT+T; or press ALT+3 and click on Read Tags...
The timing of all tracks following of that changed files don't need to be changed of course.

But it sounds easier to me, if you directly within your current playlist make a double-click on the "Weather tomorrow" file to open the PFL Player and edit the new cue-point directly here - and you are done.

Thanks for the answer! This is very well when I need only one playlist position to be changed. But if I need to change the same file repeated in the playlist? In my air "Weather tomorrow" plays every hour (12:30, 13:30, 14:30, etc). I need the file markup save for other files "Weather tomorrow" in current playlist too. How to do it?

You can also just mark each file and set it option called ForceTAGReReading and maybe also SupressACPD. These options are applied when the track is loaded into the player. As such it’s applies automatically. So in that case you don’t need to do anything.

Maybe someday there will be a function to recalculate the points in the same repeating file. This will make it easier for users. Thanks.

There is no need to recalculate that (as the option above does exactly this). If you want to do it manually, just select all (CTRL+A) and then click CTRL+ALT+T.
That’s also possible to re-read all.

So I am afraid all options are already there.

What exactly have you done? Maybe you haven't saved the cue-points to the TAG data?

On my side it is working.
Here is what I did to test it:
a) I have loaded two same tracks (files) to a playlist
b) I changed the cue-points of the first file (total length changed from 4:01 to 3:55)
Before.png
Before.png (5.78 KiB) Viewed 4146 times
c) I saved the cue-points (Save MetaData TAG) of that first file

At this point the 2nd file obviously and by design did not change its length (the cue-points are still the previous ones)!

d) now I selected all files (CTRL+A) and Re-Read the TAG data (CTRL+ALT+T)
After.png
After.png (5.7 KiB) Viewed 4146 times
Now all files changed in the length - also the 2nd file

Please always also describe your exact steps, else I cannot reproduce your issue.
