v4.5.1.5 - stable

Post by radio42 »

Version 4.5.1.1 - .5 is out

What's New?
  • The internal WebBrowser is now based on Chromium (Edge)
  • RemoteVoiceTracking should now resolve EmbeddedContainer durations (as available)
  • ACM format support for ICEcast added
  • Media Library Server processing optimized
  • TrackInsertTransitions now end at CueOut instead of Next
  • Sweeper DragDrop optimized
  • HookQueue bug-fix to preserve EntryType
  • TAG data now also removes basic TAGs correctly
  • New UI- and Audio-Lib version
  • Various optimizations and smaller bug-fixes
  • stable
If you are already on Windows 11, you don't have to do anything, as Edge (Chromium) is already be installed on your machine by the OS.
The same is true, if you are on Windows 10 and have applied some of the recent Win10 updates.

Else, if you are still on Windows 8 or 7, you might need to install Chromium support manually from here:

Question I have installed the latest version of proppfrexx but now my stand by players are emptied when the record is finished. Previously this was not the case, can I set this somewhere? Thank you very much for your response and have a nice day

Nothing was changed in the Standby-Players logic for quite some time - so I assume, that this must be unrelated.
And in all my tests here tracks are also never ejected at the end - and there is also no option for it to do so.

So can you provide a short video and even shortly enable the Debug-Logging and then send me the generated Debug_....log file (disable it after you are done). And in this test only play the Standby-Player.

I should have explained it better. I control the players via my D&R buttons for start stop and when I stop it empties it. I'll have a look to control it differently via my GPIO

Just rewind it and do not stop/eject it. But that has nothing to do with the new version. I.e. if you have a question or find a bug - pls open a new ticket in the resp. section. Thx

TrackInsertTransitions now end at CueOut instead of Next

This adjustment makes it difficult for me to update to this version. None of my sweepers will work as intended anymore. I’ve configured my sweepers to use the transition: Start With CueIn or End With Next Track.

This setup ensures that if I have a sweeper that is 8 seconds long and an intro with a ramp duration of 5 seconds, the system will wait 3 seconds before starting the song. That way, the artist starts singing right as the station name is delivered. I’ve placed a NEXT marker at the point where the voiceover is finished saying the station name. The rest of the file is just delay and reverb fading out. Importans for production value and a smooth finished sound.

Now, the system includes the entire fade and delay before the vocals begin? No more tight transitions. This feature was key for me choosing ProppFrexx and made the transistions stand out at my stations.

Is it possible to include a transition like the one we had before? It was perfect!

I will take a look to add a toggle switch to the next version. Most users have voice as sweepers, to avoid, that the sweeper ‚talks‘ over the ramp I used the cue-out position.
But I see your point as well.
