Playlist only 60 min
Playlist only 60 min
We are currently having PF continuously generate tracks from a script, so tracks are continuously added to the list while PF is playing.
However, a new program starts from the program scheduler every hour.
Is it possible for PF to only prepare tracks up to the time signal?
Currently, there are always too many tracks that are not playing. We want to see the full hour displayed when loading the hour.
So, the Look Ahead playlist should prepare the full hour but nothing more.
The reason for the problem is that everything is placed in HISTORY, so there are tracks in there that have never actually played.
Which settings are we getting wrong? However, we do not wish to create playlists in advance; these must be created while PF is playing.
Thanks in advance for the information.

Re: Playlist only 60 min
Yes, this is the default behavior and works as designed. You can tell ProppFrexx either in the general settings or in the script how many tracks should be scheduled ahead.
And there is no issue or side effect by 'overscheduling' tracks - even, if they are in the end not really played - e.g. all tracks not being played are removed from the song history again once the playlist is closed. So this is corrected afterwards! And the play counter and date is also only set, if a track is effectively played.
In addition (to set the LookAHead parameter of the Script to 1), you might also set the Program option called "PreSchedueTracksTilEndTime" - this will minimize the tracks scheduled ahead to maximum of 1 track in advance, which is the minimum.
As said, tracks no played are removed from the History after the previous program playlist is closed.

Re: Playlist only 60 min
Okay, then we'll leave everything as set earlier.
We briefly thought that everything that appeared in the history actually stayed there.
Thanks for the clear explanation. Otherwise, we are extremely satisfied with Proppfrexx!
