Parabolic or Exponential / logarithmic fade
Parabolic or Exponential / logarithmic fade
Hi there,
Currently Proppfrexx perform only linear fade which is not really pleasant to hear when 2 item mixed together on normal volume.
I would suggest to implement an option for Exponential / logarithmic which is much better for the human ear and enable a much smoother transition between songs.
A parabolic fade, often referred to as a logarithmic fade or an "audio taper," is designed to sound more natural to the human ear. Instead of a steady decrease, the volume drops off more quickly at the beginning of the fade and then slows its descent as it approaches silence. If plotted, it would form a curve that is steeper at the start and flatter at the end.
I would keep the current setup and have a function in the general settings where all user could choose which one should be used in general. Might the settings could be benefitial at the Segue Editor where fade by fade the default setting could be override as well.
Many thanks,
Csaba

Re: Parabolic or Exponential / logarithmic fade
Yes, current each auto fade is linear.
But you can add your additional volume points manually for a segue to achieve it.
I will see, if something is possible in a future release.
