ProppFrexx On Air demo crashes when pressing new button

Good evening,

I am currently exploring ProppFrexx On Air for future activities. Based on the features and capabilities I have read about, the software seems to match my requirements and workflow very well.

For this reason, I have downloaded and installed the demo version. Unfortunately, I immediately encountered an issue. Every time I click the “New” button within the program, ProppFrexx On Air closes unexpectedly. After that, I have to restart the application. So far, this behavior is consistently reproducible.

My questions are as follows:
Is this a known issue, or does it occur more frequently in the demo version?
Are there any specific settings, steps, or system requirements I should be aware of?
Is there a known workaround or solution for this problem?
Because this issue already occurs in the demo version, I am starting to have some doubts about proceeding with a purchase. I would therefore appreciate any clarification on whether this is a known issue and how it can be resolved, so that I can properly test and evaluate ProppFrexx.

Of course this is NOT a known issue. As creating a new playlist is a very common task.

Can you please send me your ProppFrexx Ident-Number as shown at startup.
Also please send me the file called „Error.log“ it is located in the ProppFrexx AppDataUser folder, ie. „%appdata%/radio42/ProppFrexx ONAIR/4.0“.

When a new playlist is created, the DJPlayers are created and connected to the output mixer channels - maybe there something is crashing due to the related mixer setup? Hard to say, as it of course works for all other customers... but I can understand your uncertainty.

Sorry for the late response, I had to take care of a few things at home.

However, I do not see an Error.log file. I also do not see the 4.0 folder in the following path:

C:\Program Files\Radio42\ProppFrexx ONAIR\...

There is no issue with your Ident-Number.
But the path you are looking at is wrong - pls see my post above!

Paste this path in the explorer: %appdata%/radio42/ProppFrexx ONAIR/4.0

Or see Show Log Files option in the Tools ribbon tab!

And if there is no Error.log file, please see the Windows Event Log - every application crash will be recorded there.

Please also try the latest v4.5.2.6 - but actually was nothing changed in your case - but you never know...
