Proppfrexx - airence
Re: Proppfrexx - airence
It took me quite a while to get it working with my Arlite. First, you have to start in Windows' sound settings:

Re: Proppfrexx - airence
Hi Andre,
A few months ago I also bought myself a D&R Airence main unit with extender.
Unfortunately I didn't have the time to set it up yet with all the bells and whistles. I'm building a suitable desk for it right now.
But a few weeks ago I already did some quick tests with the main unit, and have the ProppFrexx DJ-players (Faderstart) and non-stop knob (Scheduler) working.

It's a professional radio mixing console that you have bought. It doesn't come out of the box as a plug and play like a consumer toy. Such equipment has to be setup and tuned correctly, to get it work and deliver great results.
Some questions for you!
What do you already have installed from the D&R software on your PC? I only have installed the Airence Meters and Airence Virtual Keyboard Mapper.
Did you already have setup your USB-channels like in the video that "Michel67" provided to you in the post above? Do this first, before doing anything else, and then move on to the next step.
What are you going to assign to the faders of your Airence? You will have to take a look at the ProppFrexx Control Commands to set these up. You can find those "Control Command Actions" from page 218 on, of the ProppFrexx’s user manual. You have to search a little bit for what you want to do with the faders of your DJ-Players. Everyone has different needs. So, no setup is the same.
And from there on, you can also program the left button rows from the control section on the Airence, to play jingles from your carts or whatever you want.
Just curious! Do you also have an extender unit, or only the main unit?
Hope this already helps you a little bit.
Greetings,
Ivan
I don't like the sound of that at all!

Not at all. There are some steps that you have to take, and you will have to invest some time to learn some new things concerning your D&R Airence and ProppFrexx. Many Local and internet radio stations use the D&R Airence 24/7. If it works for them, then it will also work for you, and hopefully for me too!Dre-Batavus wrote: 18 Aug 2025 23:38 It's a complete mystery to me, and I get the feeling you really need to be a PC expert to get it working.
Come on Andre, cheer up and don’t give up man!

Re: Proppfrexx - airence
Hello!
I have one extender unit.
It's been three evenings now, but it still doesn't work.
Only the LEDs light up green, and when I click the cartwall player with the mouse, it turns red.
Nothing starts up via the Airence.
I've tried putting the files in the forum in the correct folders, but it doesn't work beyond that.

Ben je er al uitgekomen?
Anders kan ik je daarin wel helpen.
Maar alles op deze forum moet je in het Engels vragen en antwoorden.
Met vriendelijke groet,

Hi Andre,
Have you figured it out yet?
If not, I can help you with that.
But you have to ask and answer everything on this forum in English.
Kind regards,
Wesley

As said, you can contact the author of the default mapping implementation of the D&R mixers for professional support. (Benjamin Hartwich)
Have you done this?

Re: Proppfrexx - airence
assuming that setup airence and airlite are the same then start as previously written with the windows sound settings as in the first part described on this site:
http://www.mambanet.org/wiki/dokuwiki/d ... ence:start
Pay particular attention to the "record" tab because if this is not correct it will definitely not work.

Re: Proppfrexx - airence
Did you get it working yet? GPIO Ext. Service should also be checked.
Re: Proppfrexx - airence
I personally can only check if there is any issue in the GPIO client when I am back next week.
