Play Counter and Last Played at
Hi Bernd,
the ‘Play Counter’ and ‘Last Played at’ in Column Chooser used to be active, now I only get a lot of zeros.
I have not changed any settings, Thank you.
Sorry for my English.

Re: Play Counter and Last Played at
I have also not changed anything.
If it just recently happened all of a sudden, something must have changed.
The Entry Statistics are saved in a file located in the ProppFrexx AppDataUser folder. Have you maybe changed that location, used a different Windows user or even deleted files in that folder accidentally - as ProppFrexx doesn’t delete any files.
You can press ALT+2 on a playlist entry or in the Find Window entry to look at the related specific values for that entry. Are these also all Zero?
If yes, the .entrystat file seems to be gone.
Unfortunately I can not tell you why, how and where.

This is what I found (is that right):
Re: Play Counter and Last Played at
That file is completely empty. So someone must have deleted all entries - manually!
ProppFrexx doesn’t do that!

Re: Play Counter and Last Played at
I don't even know that such a file exists.
I am the only one who uses it. What do I do now, is there a way to fill the file with life?

Re: Play Counter and Last Played at
You might also delete the entries from the UI in the general settings or on the file system level.
I believe that you don’t know, that such file existed. But maybe it was deleted by accident ? Hard to say. But that is the only option I can think of.

Bernd, you write: You can also delete the entries via the user interface in the general settings or at file system level.
Again, my Windows is not that good and secondly, I'm not the youngest anymore.
Such a huge programme and there is only little possibility to repair it, I am a little disappointed.
This can also happen to other users. Something needs to be done in this direction. Ok.

Re: Play Counter and Last Played at
? Disappointed about what, that the system doesn’t repair itself when you manually delete files resp. when you manually reset the entry stats?
You can even see, that ProppFrexx by itself created backup files (.bak). This is case of system errors.
But this doesn’t help, if the entry stats are deleted/reset manually. I am disappointed, that users expect the impossible.
This never happened to any users as know of since 15 years - except in one case, where a user manually deleted its file system.
So for 2 cases with around 1000 users in 15 years.
You say: something must be done about it. Sorry my answer is: No, if it happens that rarely and only by mistakes of users. I am sorry about this, but you must unfortunately agree, that this doesn’t make sense.
I am still sorry for you. But proper system administration is not my business. It is unfortunately your. Might sound tough, but it is reality.
As I doubt, that you deleted files from the file system, I assume, that you accidentally selected this menu item:

Re: Play Counter and Last Played at
I made a copy of the ProppFrexx/4.0 folder and still had the file. Now it is running again. What sounds unbelievable to me is that it is just a file that collects entries, and if it is empty then it should be useless? I will test this.
Re: Play Counter and Last Played at
Not sure what is unbelievable? ProppFrexx keeps all entry statistics (as almost any other data) in memory and persists data in a file. What sounds unbelievable to me is that it is just a file that collects entries...
Btw,
