How do you test things and where are you editing your track? And are you using .pfmd files as well (if you turned them on, pls turn them off again), unless you really need them - but in this case make sure you save both TAG data to the audio file and to the .pfmd file.
The other issue might be your media library. Note, that these cache all tracks and its meta data within memory. So if you change your track‘s TAG data within a playlist, the new TAG data will be changed for this file, but the media library might still have cached the previous values.
Ie. reload your media library.
Or edit your TAG data from within the Find Window resp. Open the media library directly as a playlist and edit the TAG data from here. This will change the media library entry directly.

can you please share for me where i set off the .pfmd files.
i basicly the tags writing on the playlist everyday, i think it was the best, you meen i can better use the stand allone tagger of proppfrexx to write the tags correct, and rescan the medialibary after that? is thar correct?

Where you enabled it (if), ie. general settings, section MetaData/WaveForm - see the Use .pfmd Files option.
It all depends on your workflow. I do not propose to use the external Tagger - but with it it is more obvious, that you need to reload the media libs. I personally also always use the editors inside ProppFrexx and don’t use the external Tagger. But as said, the media library might need to be reloaded/rescanned in order to refresh its cached metadata. So…
… also when you edit the files tag data from within ProppFrexx OnAir you might need to reload the media library.
Only if you edit the meta data within the Find Window or if you directly open the MediaLibrary for editing you don’t need to reload it.

Then please describe in detail what exactly you are doing.
And how you ‚test‘ things. I can not reproduce your issue otherwise.
And send a screenshot of your general MetaData settings.

That looks indeed odd - I have to check, what is going on there...
Now I see what happens:
a) as you are using Folder based media libs, you must always use the ‚Rescan‘ function to load new TAG data
b) standard TAGs like Year, Genre, Album, etc. are today always added, but never removed. I will change this also in a next version.
But editing folder based media libs is best done, if you open them within ProppFrexx from the Open submenu and then select that specific media lib. It will then open as a playlist, in which you can directly (mass)edit the tracks.
