Dear forum members,

I have an issue with an instance of PF. When I play my show and try to close the software, it hangs. The message displayed is: "Please wait, stopping Remote GPIO extension server." This seems to be causing the issue.

When I check, the GPIO is already shut down, so it appears to be reacting too quickly. Additionally, in Task Manager, the GPIO process is closed. PF remains stuck until you force it to close. when i would like to restart he shows the notification Proppfrexx ONAIR already running. When i check the task manager there is no instance running.

Is there a solution to resolve this issue?

But ProppFrexx also has an internal GPIO service (eg. the one the GPIO client or the Remote Viewer etc. connects to) - this one seems to be not closing due to waiting requests…
Is anything reported in the ProppFrexx Error.log ?

How long have you waited?
As when there is still a client connection constantly coming in, this might block the shutdown.
What GPIO Client services are you using?
D&R, Vellemann,…?

Any News? Or was it a one thing issue?

So I have checked everything
Only d&r airence is connected, no other services.
When the user shuts down the playlist nothing wrong, but closing the programm he directly reports in the task manager - not responding -

Version: 4.4.4.3 enterprise
GPOI client: 32 bits (8.4 % processor)
PF: (0,3 % processor)

On the system we also work with luci and d&r metering

And if you first disable the DnR (in the GPIO client), then the GPIO client itself and finally once the GPIO Client is closed you then close ProppFrexx.

i did indeed a test, by shutting down D&R - disconnect, close GPOI and PF, but without succes.

That is really strange, as it doesn't happen here - so unfortunately I can not reproduce the issue - so I am at the moment also lost in finding an issue.
I will add some logs in he next version to hopefully find the issue.

I have decided to replace the full system, and make a new installation.
the system is already working 10 years so it could help
